EIFS

A composite thermal insulation system (ETICS) is a non-load-bearing external wall cladding system that consists of an insulation board that is either bonded to the substrate or mechanically fastened, or both, a continuous reinforced base course and a textured protective layer.

We Roof Plus works with approved insulation, adhesive and finishing manufacturers in this region whose products are certified by the local civil defence authorities based on the updated fire safety regulations.

CLASSIC EIFS SYSTEM

  • A water-repellent barrier (WRB) covering the substrate.
  • An insulation board, typically made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) or Rockwool, attached to the substrate with an adhesive and mechanical fasteners.
  • A glass fibre reinforcement mesh embedded in the base coat.
  • A waterproof primer coat applied to the insulation to protect it from the elements.
  • A final coat, usually with a colourfast and crack-resistant acrylic copolymer technology, is applied.

Rigid PUR Insulation System

Most industrial and warehouse buildings have roofing made of GI. These roof panels are fastened with J-bolts and nuts. Over time, these joints rust and the holes become larger. Water can leak through these enlarged holes. The joints of these panels are also very prone to water leakage. Even if sealants are applied to the screws, they come off after a short time.

Roof Plus offers an absolutely safe solution to this problem. The sprayed polyurethane is used to form a seamless and fully bonded waterproof layer and thermal insulation that covers the entire sheet roof. This foam seals all joints and screw holes. The polyurethane foam is then covered with a UV-resistant acrylic coating that ensures the foam lasts for a long time. The system we install comes with a 5-year warranty. This is a perfect solution that protects the metal roof building from water leaks and heat and ensures a long life for the building.

STEP 1

WATERPROOFING AND THERMAL INSULATION

Roof Plus offers spray polyurethane foam systems as seamless waterproofing and thermal insulation for such sheet metal roofs. To ensure optimal adhesion of the seamless system, the roof must be thoroughly cleaned before application. Once the roof is cleaned of dust and other substances that could cause separation, the Roof Plus application team sprays polyurethane foam directly onto the GI sheets to ensure seamless and fully bonded waterproofing and thermal insulation. This spray technique seals and covers all joints and screw holes. The thickness of the polyurethane foam can be adjusted to achieve specific thermal conductivity values (U-value).

STEP 2

PROTECTIVE COATING

To protect the seamless waterproofing and thermal insulation, the polyurethane foam must be coated with a UV-resistant acrylic coating. This coating is an additional waterproofing layer that protects the foam and extends its life. This system build-up provides long-lasting and reliable waterproofing and thermal insulation for roofs with GI Sheet Roofing.

PUR Open cell System

Open-cell spray foam provides a better air barrier than conventional insulation for walls, floors and ceilings. Spray foam insulation adheres to most building surfaces and expands to create an airtight building envelope. The open-cell system is applied directly to the substrate, similar to the closed-cell rigid polyurethane foam system. However, because the foam is less dense, it can be applied quickly and is best suited for use in partitions and ceilings for insulation and soundproofing. Roof Plus works with brands that have pioneered foam technology and follows their guidelines when applying the systems in projects.
